The Jacob of Paradies University, Gorzów Wielkopolski is a place where development has been correlated with the dynamics of social and technological changes in the modern world, while respecting the tradition and scientific achievements of previous generations.
The University was established in 2016 on the basis of the Gorzów Higher Vocational School, which had been in operation since 1998. It constitutes a strong academic center of the northern part of the Lubuskie region. It cooperates with academic entities from the European Union and non-EU countries in Europe, the USA, South Africa, New Zealand, with exchanges of academic staff and students and joint research. Extensive cooperation also exists with the socio-economic environment in the region.
The research undertaken at the University is aimed at the emergence of modern technologies dedicated to many areas of social life, and their use leads to the development of medicine, enhancing communication security, expanding educational opportunities, improving the comfort of life, among other things.
