The 2025 State of the Energy Union Report is out! Published on 6 November 2025, it shows how Europe is progressing in its energy transition.

Date:
December 3, 2025

๐Ÿ”Ž Key highlights:

โšก 47% of the EUโ€™s electricity now comes from renewables โ€“ a major step toward clean energy.
๐ŸŒ The EU is on track to meet its 2030 climate targets, including cutting emissions by at least 55% and increasing the share of renewables.
๐Ÿ’ถ Investment in clean technologies and energy system modernization is rising โ€“ from grids to new industrial solutions.
๐Ÿ”Œ Europeโ€™s dependence on fossil fuel imports is decreasing, thanks to renewables and growing local energy production.

โš ๏ธ But challenges remain:
๐Ÿ  Building renovation and energy efficiency are still progressing too slowly.
๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ Large differences persist between Member States in the pace of the transition.
๐Ÿ’ธ Massive investments are still needed to reach the 2030 goals and achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
The report makes it clear: weโ€™re moving in the right direction, but we need to speed up โ€“ for energy security, lower costs, and cleaner air. ๐ŸŒฑ
