On March 18, 2026, the Second EUCLIME Seminar entitled “Energy Transformation in the European Union – Development Directions and Financing Opportunities” took place. The event focused on key aspects of the EU’s energy transition, with particular emphasis on financing mechanisms supporting related investments. The seminar brought together experts, students, and individuals interested in energy policy and climate issues.

The speakers of the seminar were: Dr. Agnieszka Kłos-Sosnowska and Wojciech Bugajski (PhD candidate at SGH Warsaw School of Economics).

In her presentation, “EU and National Financial Instruments in the Energy Transition Process – Challenges and Barriers,” Dr. Agnieszka Kłos-Sosnowska analyzed the functioning of financial mechanisms supporting the energy transition, highlighting the key challenges and limitations associated with their implementation. Wojciech Bugajski, in his presentation “Financing Energy Investments: The Use of Support Funds and the Potential of Public-Private Partnerships,” discussed available sources of financing for energy investments, emphasizing the role of support funds as well as the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors.

The speakers’ presentations were characterized by a high level of substantive quality and relevance, significantly contributing to a deeper understanding of the complex processes underlying the European Union’s energy transition and serving as a valuable starting point for insightful and constructive discussion.
