
COP 30 conference in Belém

Yesterday, the COP 30 conference began in Belém, Brazil, and will continue from 10 to 21 November 2025. This is the world’s most important forum dedicated to tackling climate change, bringing together the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) — including the European Union and all its Member States. The EU delegation is led by the European Commission and the Danish Presidency.
This year’s conference in Belém is particularly symbolic, marking the 20th anniversary of the Kyoto Protocol’s entry into force and the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement.
