On 18–19 June 2026, the scientific conference KES 2026 “Socio-Economic Development under Conditions of International Tensions” was held at the Villa Port Hotel in Ostróda, Poland. The event was organized by the Collegium of Socio-Economics of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).

Dr Anna Wójtowicz participated in the conference and presented a paper entitled “The CBAM Mechanism as a Challenge to the Competitiveness of the EU Economy.”

The presentation addressed issues related to the implementation of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and its significance for the competitiveness of the European Union economy in the context of the ongoing climate transition and changes in the international economic environment.

As an outcome of the conference, the research findings will be published as a chapter in the conference monograph prepared by the organizers of the event.
